Campus Intern - Eric Meckley

Eric grew up in the gritty coal mining hills of northwestern Pennsylvania before moving at the awkward age of 13 to the dolorous cornfields of northern Indiana. Eric began his involvement with RUF while a student at the University of Chicago, where he majored in Fundamentals: Issues and Texts; a major that takes a good deal of explaining, but basically taught him to read and write and allowed him to indulge his love of literature and theology.  Eric then went on to work as an RUF Intern at Northwestern University for two years.  There, he did everything from leading bible studies to starting a hip hop group.  Duke RUF is an exciting new chapter of his RUF ministry.  While in Durham, Eric will also be an M. Div student at the Duke Divinity School and is anxiously anticipating his marriage on November 22, 2009 to the lovely and brilliant LeAnn Mitchell, also a Pennsylvania native.
